Amateur boxing is a sport frequently berated by the news media. The less positive aspects of the professional code of the sport are oftentimes reported, whilst the positive aspects of the amateur sport go overlooked. At Downend Youth Boxing we recognise that boxing is able to fill a void in our community providing feelings of self worth, respect, discipline and a level of success the young people may not otherwise experience.
We take ordinary people and turn them into champions!
